10 minggu dah berakhir, alhamdulillah
Sekarang tinggal nak final je minggu depan
Semoga semua urusan semua kawan-kawan OSU dipermudahkan :)

Tak pernahlah terfikir, as a Perempuan Melayu, akan minat tengok American Football
Dah lah ganas, tak pernah dapat exposure pun, bukan macam soccer
Tapi boleh semangat kan? haha

Assalamualaikum

First of all, I wanna let you guys know that I am soooo happy because tomorrow (or today literally), is a holiday for Ohio State yeayy!
Pathetic huh? But this is my first not-so-normal-one-day-holiday after seven weeks of classes
Still, I will be working at 5pm tomorrow, but never mind, working is always the best treatment of my day
I have two midterms next week, and then I will get myself ready for the finals
My dad will be 54 this Monday, and I haven't found anything special enough for him (not good -,-)
And insyaAllah, exactly one month from now, I will be on a plane for my winter break vacation tehee

Speaking of birthday, if any of you are thinking about giving someone special a birthday gift but everything looks so typical, why don't you visit my mom's blog? Not only that you can choose whatever design you like or perhaps invent it yourself, you will surely make people happy. Chocolate is flexible, nice and yummyy. I mean, who doesn't love chocolate? I know that little fact very well. I mean, it's my job Sir. (this might be ambiguous but yes, it is really my job!)

Bila bulan Zulhijjah menjelma, maknanya kita akan berhari raya qurban

Qurban, sebenarnya terlalu sinonim dengan semua manusia, tak begitu?

Tak kisahlah belajar, kerja, tua, muda

Terlalu panjang kalau nak elaborate

By the way, ni kali pertama jejak ke Noor Islamic Cultural Center di Dublin

Rupanya dekat je, dalam 20 minit

Kalau nak tahu, NICC ini lah penarik utama waktu nak apply ke Ohio State

Sebab nampak macam lawa and tenang sangat

And you know what, indeed, it is extremely beautiful and calming :) 

Hari ini jadi satu hari yang banyak pengajaran

Dari start khutbah raya berbicara tentang syukur

Memerhati ragam hari raya Muslim pelbagai bangsa

Beraya di Lavash makan kambing lol

Sampailah ke malam hari

Harap-harap biarlah hari ni betul-betul penuh keberkatan, sinonim dengan ungkapan Eid Mubarak tu sendiri inshaAllah!

Maklumlah pelajar bekerjaya, busy sangat chehhh
But then bila masuk kerja tadi, semua orang kepoh pasal ni
Datang-datang je manager aku cakap,
"Atikah, did you meet leopard on your way here?"
Blur gila awal2, but then dorang semangat siap bagi twitter la ape la
So that aku tau update haiwan terlepas ni
Tapi bila fikir balik, sumpah macam dalam movie
Mesti kelam kabut harimau singa tu berlari keluar dari kandang
Siap ada baboon bear semua, mesti kecoh

Di sebalik kami gelak-gelak pasal haiwan terlepas dan kisah2 haiwan lain
Ada cerita sedih sebenarnya di sebalik kisah ni
Bayangkan 56 ekor haiwan liar terlepas
49 kena bunuh macamtu je
Owner dia pulak bunuh diri
And isteri owner dia kehilangan suami and her "babies"

Salaam ke atas kamu semua

To be honest, I have no idea of what I should put in here
I just wanna update something so that my timeline moves lol

But as I am typing this, suddenly something made me wonder

Every time I say salaam, what is actually in my mind?

We say salaam every day in our solat

We give salaam when we meet Muslims around campus

But do we really mean it? 

Do we know what is the meaning of السلام عليكم literally?

Or, are we just as similar as the typical Americans who ask 'how are you doing' just on daily basis?

Okay, this is so random, seriously

Anyway, do you know that salaam is the greeting use by dwellers in Jannah?

First Football Game

Assalamualaykum

Life has been bussyyyyy, and the saddest part is I didn't even have time to skype with my family and best friends since I was working on the last two weekends.
I miss home a lot, I must say :(

However, I have something to share here and it might be outdated if I post it too late

So, here is the thing: 

I went to the stadium and watched football game, for my very first time!

I know, it has been a year, and sekarang baru nak tengok football? 

My answer is simple: 

"Sekarang baru ada budget nak tengok. Last year baru sampai, poket kering."

Yes, being a buckeye, memang tak sah lah kalau tak tengok football because I think football is the only thing that made this small town alive

But the worse part was, OSU kalah pulak in my first game lol

Tapi tak kisahlah, first one will always special

Lagi lagi bila tengok game dengan suhu 4 degree celcius and dress up tak kena

Balik tengok game pulak kena rush pergi kerja terus, nice one though

And despite those facts, it was pretty interesting as I automatically jumped when Buckeyes finally had their touchdown hahahaha

I am still learning to understand this complicated game, but I guess I am doing pretty good
